Uncapitals: Pomors
- Role
- Director · Producer

A virtual museum of Pomor culture created in Onega, Arkhangelsk region, combining place, oral history and immersive documentation.
Uncapitals: Digital Heritage brought artists, coders and cultural workers to Onega to create an experimental virtual museum of Pomor history and culture.
A museum made during a residency
Participants combined encyclopaedic material, local encounters and objects gathered on the White Sea coast. The goal was not an authoritative encyclopaedia, but a subjective digital museum produced collectively on location.
Rethinking the cultural centre
Uncapitals was an international residency focused on decentralising cultural production from national capitals toward regional communities across the Barents area.
Early virtual heritage practice
Created in 2017, the project joined documentary collection, education and VR exhibition before virtual museums became a common institutional format.
