A separate robotics startup using consumer XR devices for remote teleoperation of simulated humanoid robots and the collection of demonstration data for Physical AI.
SIM XR is a separate robotics startup developing XR-based remote teleoperation and demonstration-data infrastructure for Physical AI. It connects distributed human operators, simulated humanoid robots and photorealistic reconstructions of real deployment environments.
XR as a teleoperation interface
Consumer VR headsets provide an existing embodied interface for remote robot control: head and hand tracking, a first-person spatial view and a direct relationship between an operator’s movement and a simulated humanoid body.
Distributed demonstration data
Operators can connect remotely and perform tasks inside simulation. Their sessions become human demonstration data for training and evaluating robot policies, without requiring every operator to work from a dedicated robotics facility.
Customer-specific environments
3D Gaussian Splatting can reconstruct the environment where a robot will eventually operate. SIM XR combines that scene layer with remote teleoperation so training data can be grounded in the visual and spatial conditions of a customer’s real location.
